Dr. Shaban is the medical director of general surgery at Virtua and an active participant in the training of surgical residents at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Dr. Shaban earned his medical degree at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a surgery residency at St. Barnabas Hospital and a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at St. Johns Medical Center. Over the course of his career, he has expanded his skill set to robotic-assisted surgery, lessening postoperative pain and speeding recovery for patients.     They treat me with up most respect and in hospital I was treated so kindly they are very thorough and I was telling everybody my family how well I was treated but the emergency room that's a different story

    Experience is very good. All the nurses are very nice and listen to me and Dr. Shaban is very very good and he listens and he cares he's gonna he's the best surgeon I ever had and I recommended anyone that needs surgery. Thank you.
