I have the greatest respect for everyone at the transplant unit. I was on dialysis for four years. It is very tiring and depressing. After four years I was ready to give up. But then I received the call telling me that they had a kidney for me. Even though I was scared, inside I was hoping for the best. In the first two hours after the surgery my donated kidney started to work and three years later I still feel fantastic. I can't thank Virtua kidney transplant staff and doctors enough for giving me my life back. I am always getting compliments on how good I look since my transplant. My wife tells me everytime we see a billboard about Virtua and the patients they helped, " You should be on that billboard advertising the Kidney Transplant Team and how they gave you your life back". I agree. If Virtua ever does a kidney transplant billboard, I'm your guy.

Everyone was very, very professional, courteous, and I loved it. And I'd like to say thank you to everyone that helped me. Thank you.

Dr Ujire has cared for my post kidney transplant visits over the past 10yrs and always has been very pleasant, considerate and thoughtful. She is very thorough in accessing my status from the blood work and advises of necessary adjustments that should be made. She is a very kind and easy to speak to Doctor. Would recommend Dr Ujire to everyone.
