Alissa Brotman O'Neill, DO

Alissa Brotman, DO, is a board-certified vascular surgeon. Dr. Brotman O’Neill is chair of the Rowan Medicine Department of Surgery. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University, Dr. Brotman O’Neill earned her medical degree and completed her general surgery internship and residency at the UMDNJ-Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (now the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine). She completed her fellowship in vascular surgery at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine-Englewood Division. Her expertise encompasses the treatment of both simple and complex vein conditions, including varicose and spider veins, utilizing minimally invasive techniques, as well as pelvic congestion syndrome and deep vein thrombosis. She is trained and certified in vascular ultrasound. Dr. Brotman O’Neill lectures at local and national meetings and has been published on topics such as periorbital sclerotherapy and vascular simulation training results with medical students. Her work includes publication in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. She has been named a “top doc” in Castle Connelly, New Jersey Magazine, South Jersey Magazine, and Philadelphia Magazine, and is committed to advancing frontiers of surgical excellence in both education and research. Dr. Brotman O’Neill is an active member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society, the American Venous Forum, and the Eastern Vascular Surgical Society. She is president-emeritus of the Vascular Society of New Jersey. A former college track athlete, she continues to enjoy running.
