Anthony Smeglin, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM, RPVI is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with many years of experience caring for adults with cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Smeglin earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center. He completed fellowships in general cardiology and vascular/endovascular medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and interventional cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In addition to interventional cardiology, Dr. Smeglin focuses on the treatment of peripheral vascular and venous disease. He has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in medical journals and remains active in clinical research. Dr. Smeglin currently serves as medical director of the Virtua Voorhees Vein and Vascular Center and lead physician for Virtua’s vascular section. He has led many efforts to provide community-based vascular disease awareness and vascular screening events. Patients praise Dr. Smeglin for his excellent bedside manner, showing deep concern for their medical issues, and his ability to set clear plans of action to address their concerns.     I was confused as to why I was asked for my prescription card and for a referral. The girl said something about and update in the system. I would think the system can see I'm an employee so I do not need a referral but I guess it's not that advanced. So I had to sign something saying i didn't have one. For me I don't care because I know I do not need one but from a billing standpoint I get it since I do the hospital billing. This needs to be rolled out if not already when it comes to authorization as well ie mri catscan etc. If patients sign this form it helps billing tremendously when no authorization is obtained.

    The facility was extremely nice and very clean. Dr Smeglin was very attentive, fully evaluated my condition, and explained in detail how to address my issues. I highly recommend him to family and friends.
