One of the biggest misses, in my opinion, is the patient experience around scheduling. I recently had a very frustrating experience trying to schedule a CT chest scan. My doctor recommended Virtua and gave me a sheet of paper with the phone number to call. From there, the process became incredibly difficult. I found it nearly impossible to get through to a real person, and I kept getting routed back through the automated phone system. After spending a lot of time trying to schedule the appointment, I was left frustrated and without a clear path forward. I eventually sent the order to South Jersey Radiology, and within minutes, I had an appointment scheduled. The contrast between the two experiences was significant. The only way I was able to move forward was by emailing my doctor, explaining the situation, and asking them to send the pre-authorization to a different provider. That should not have been necessary. From a patient perspective, this is not best practice. When someone is trying to schedule a medical scan, especially something that may already create anxiety, the process needs to be simple, responsive, and human. If patients cannot easily reach someone or schedule an appointment, it creates frustration and damages trust. In my case, the experience was so poor that I would be very hesitant to use the service again..

Dr. Brandon Boyer took the time to listen patiently to all of my concerns and symptoms, He gave me such an education and wealth of information concerning the heart and how it applied to my EKG reading. I left the cardiology suite knowing I am in good hands. Dr. Boyer is experienced, and keeps apprised of the latest advances and state of the art technology concerning his area of expertise - the heart.

Hi, the doctor was very, very sympathetic and empathetic. His bedside manner was impeccable. He spoke with me with very confidence and actually was very hospitable and also customer service was really great. I came out of there with so much empowerment to do whatever I needed to do for myself and just wanted to say thank you and I will definitely recommend him to others. Thank you.

I needed a cardiologist clearance but they did not provide me one saying my surgery doctor would have to request it.

Great staff and Doctor

I was very happy with the time that Dr. Brandon Boyer spent with me regarding my follow up Appointment after being in the hospital. I would definitely recommend him to my friends. AND the front desk staff was extremely nice.
