I've seen several doctors at Reconstructive Orthopedics and all have been great. The staff is awesome as well and the wait time has improved immensely as what it was a year or so ago. Thankful for a good experience once again.

The doctor did a great job of listening to me and recognizing my issues with my spine for the first time in two years. He didn't gaslight me like other physicians and he saw the problem and suggested modes of moving forward.

I like that I can always get an appointment if I need one. I don't have to wait like months. I've been able to get appointments and get right in and take care of what I need. And everyone is always super nice to me. Thank you.

Dr. Mcelligott stated he would start me on a low dose of gabapentin. I was thinking 100 mg. But when I picked up my Rx it was for 300mg capsules Daily then increase to TID. OMG, that's way too much for a first time user. Yikes. I'll be calling him and have to now pay for a replacement Rx for the lower dose of 100 mg. You're killing my budget!

Hi, the doctor was very kind with me. He talked to me about my problems. He seemed to know what I was there for and everything. And we got along good and he set me up with some rehab, so that's what I'm going to be doing.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 12/24/2025
The only reason I answered mostly on trust and knowledge of history is because both of those things take time. I felt really good about everyone I encountered from check in, to the nurses collecting medical history, seeing the Doc and discussing options to checking and and rescheduling. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful, kind and respectful. For the first time in a very long long time I was impressed, and when it comes to the current health "care" being offered, Impressing me is an extremely difficult task to say the very least. I simply couldn't be more pleased and secure going forward with a medical team the will be injecting a very seriously injured spine!! You just can't imagine how relieving it is to feel this comfortable. Please share this with the staff because today all people share is their negative experiences they deserve and need to be recognized for their excellence. May peace be with whomever reads this as you are appreciated more than you know.

It's very disappointing to find that my past medical history with this practice was lost when the practice joined Virtua. I thought the overall goal in the medical community was to secure and save past patient history.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 12/11/2025
It ran like a well oiled machine . I was in and out in a timely manner, staff was pleasant and cordial, check in/out was a breeze
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 12/7/2025
When I first started with reconstructive orthopedics with other doctors, you were a tier one with my insurance company. Now, since Virtua took over, you're a tier two, and that's very disappointing because I may not be able to use your services any longer because of that.
- 3 out of 5 starsReviewed on 12/6/2025
I am very unhappy with the new phone system!! I should not have to be caller 98in a cue for a pt referral. Also I had to be on hold for 50 minutes to just make my appointment to see the dr.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 12/5/2025
I feel very confident in entrusting my heath care with Virtua.

My experience with Dr. Connor and his staff has been outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with professionalism and genuine care. Dr. Connor demonstrated exceptional expertise, taking the time to explain procedures thoroughly and ensuring I felt comfortable and informed throughout my visit. His staff mirrored this commitment, showing kindness, efficiency, and respect at every step. I am truly grateful for the level of attention and compassion I received. Their dedication not only reflects high standards of medical practice but also creates an environment where patients feel valued and supported. I would confidently recommend Dr. Connor and his team to anyone seeking excellent care, and I deeply appreciate the positive impact they have made on my experience.

Appointment was not necessary. The doctor and I both knew I needed a second shot. All we did was schedule it.

I have been using reconstructive orthopedics for awhile. I am very pleased with the doctors that I have seen. The front desk staff is friendly. The assistant who walks me back never forgets to ask how I'm feeling. They are very professional yet personable. The X-ray texts are quick and efficient. I have and will continue to recommend to my family, friends, and colleagues.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 11/16/2025
No body wants to be there anyway! But they were knowable how to get you in and out. That's what makes it smooth.
- 1 out of 5 starsReviewed on 11/13/2025
My experience at this orthopedic practice was disappointing. The front desk staff seemed disorganized - check-in and check-out both took longer than expected and could use better coordination. Once I saw the doctor, the visit felt rushed, and I felt more like a number than a patient. Only one treatment option (physical therapy) was offered, with no discussion of alternatives. The office itself appeared old, outdated, and unfortunately had an unpleasant odor. Overall, the environment and level of care did not meet my expectations.

Everything went well. I was treated very well. The doctors listened to me and they completely understand my situation. I felt very confident in them and looking forward to going back for more treatment because I still have to go back for more. But anyway, I feel very comfortable with this facility.

They were very friendly there. I got an appointment the same day, and I was very happy with them. And I needed a bump up in my medicine within a few days, and right away they were there to help me. I'm very satisfied with them. They're very good. Thank you, and have a great day.

When you ask for a picture of an MRI with and without contrast, why can't you print it up for me when you are the doctor of the orthopedics that takes care of my rehab or referral for a rehab? And how is the rehab supposed to respond if they don't have a picture? I want a picture. Thank you.

When I arrived I was taken on time.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/6/2025
It takes a really long time to get in touch by phone with Dr. Mcelligott, even though I have his private secretary's extension. It also takes a really long time to get an appointment. Other than that, he's very professional. He's very interactive. He knows my case very well. and I'm always happy to see him. He treats me like a total individual and he's very interactive and we discuss my care and I tell everyone about him who has a back problem and I would recommend every person I know to see him. Thank you.

I didn't feel he was as compassionate as I like in a doctor or a good listener . I was in agony (mid back) and he didn't give me any options such as a muscle relaxer or massage or chiropractor or heat/ cold application - but I suggested phys therapy and he wrote the script. He barely touched my back or had me move to understand or figure out what could be wrong. He didn't show me the xray results which I would have been interested in to show me the scoliosis or arthritis, which he said he noticed. I like docs that act like they care and are interested in figuring out issues. I feel I need an MRI or ct scan , next ( soon!) since I've had this problem with my back for way over a year and I'd hopefully like an answer to exactly what's causing my pain before I start the phys therapy ( which will be painful . ) I do not want to be prescribed pain pills.

When I called to set up my appt., I asked the nurse before I made my appt, if the Pain management doctor does Epidurals or Nerve blocks. I was told yes. I waited over a month for this appt & when I went back they made me get another xray even though I brought my MRI & had my xray results. They told me that doesn't matter. When the doctor came in the room he cut me off and said there is nothing he can do for me because he only does in office cortisone shots and also uses iv contrast, which I can't use because I am allergic to both of them. He then handed me a paper with addresses & phone numbers for someone who could help me. I waited over a month, spent $60 for my copay & was there 15 mins for the doctor to tell me he couldn't help me. It was a complete & utter waste of my time & money. And now it has further my delay in going back to work because I have to wait another month for another appt at a different place. If the lady from the beginning would have been honest I would have never schedule my appt with him.

I had x-rays taken and I would have liked to have seen the results and have them explained to me.
- 3 out of 5 starsReviewed on 5/23/2025
I was disappointed because he really couldn't help me with my problem. He gave me a script for a prednisone pack, dose pack, and it's not even helping. I'm trying to get an appointment with the pain management, and they haven't returned my call. So I don't know where I go from here. Goodbye.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 5/23/2025
The Virtua navigator initially scheduled me with Dr. [REDACTED] despite my informing them that I believed the symptoms in my upper arm was related to previous damage to my cervical spine. When I arrived for my appointment and spoke with the assistant in the exam room she recognized that Dr. [REDACTED] was not the appropriate doctor and arranged for me to be seen by Dr. McElligott without a delay in my appointment time. Dr. McElligott took his time listening and offered me options. I would also like to acknowledge Dr. [REDACTED] (whom I had seen for a previous issue) for stopping by the room to say hello and make sure I was agreeable to the change in doctor. I would recommend Reconstructive Orthopedics to anyone.
