Dr. Choi joined Virtua from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he was surgical director of the mechanical circulatory support program and associate program director of the cardiothoracic surgery residency program.     There appeared to be a medical plan already in place. It was my understanding upon meeting with me for a surgical consult, options would be presented. Really was only given 1 option moving forward. Maybe this is the only option based upon present condition, can't say for sure, it was just presented as this is the only path to go.

    My recent visit with Dr. Choi far exceeded all expectations that I had. He was extremely personable, discussed my options in detail and even showed me scans, pictures and videos of my previous procedures, explaining exactly what what being done and showed the end result. I couldn't be more confident about my upcoming bypass surgery. Dr. Choi absolutely put my mind at ease with the procedure and what to expect.
