About Graeme R. Williams

Professional Statement

Graeme Williams, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist and is director of proton therapy at the Penn Medicine | Virtua Health Cancer Program. He treats patients with a variety of diagnoses—such as genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and thoracic cancers, as well as recurrent disease (reirradiation)—using advanced approaches such as proton therapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy. A native of Bucks County, Dr. Williams completed his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania. He then served four years as an officer in the United States Air Force, primarily as a nuclear missile launch officer at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. After completing his military service, he returned to Philadelphia, earning his medical degree at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He completed his internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as the program's academic liaison for rotating medical students. Dr. Williams has published research in numerous journals and has presented at medical conferences. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, golfing, and spending time at the beach.
