Kelly L. Burns, PhD

Kelly Burns, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with various emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Dr. Burns earned her doctoral degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). She completed her internship at Geisinger Medical Center in the child/pediatric track and postdoctoral residency at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine CARES Institute. Her approach combines evidence-based techniques with a warm, compassionate style to create a safe space where youth and their families can explore feelings, develop coping strategies, and ultimately build resilience. Dr. Burns works closely with families to understand each child's unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans that foster growth and well-being. Collaboration with parents, schools, and other health care providers is emphasized to ensure a coordinated approach to each child’s treatment and overall mental health care. She has a specific interest in treating children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced traumatic events.
