Your text messaging to confirm whether I would keep the scheduled appointment or not does not work. I responded "YES" to 3 separate messages you sent on 3 different days and they all failed to deliver. There was no explanation or followup by anyone. There was nothing wrong with my messaging app or hardware. I did checkin on myChart although I never received a message from Virtua to do so.

This practice is overall quite good and I trust my doctor completely! (His nurses tend to be quite impressive, too!) But when I go to check out up front, the appointment that my doctor told me that they will make for me is never made. And the front desk personnel gets angry when I ask for appointment be made. Twice now I was told that they don't make appointments and I was given the number to call for an appointment myself. (Which has definitely not been a pleasant experience either time!). Is the doctor confused and front desk personnel are actually unable to assist me in making the follow-up and additional appointments that he has ordered? Or is the doctor correct (they should be assisting me with future appointments) and the front staff just don't want to assist me? Either way I'll deal with it. But the front staff get quite testy when I think that they are going to assist me by making future appointments because the doctor told me they would. I get a very emphatic, annoyed "No!" etc... Excellent practice! I'm extremely glad that I found Dr Shah and I love all nurses that I've spoken to! I just wish that the Dr and front staff would get on the same page re appt making so that the front staff doesn't get so angry when I'm confused by having them contradicting what my doctor just told me! (And this time I double checked what I heard my dr tell me only to have him tell me again that I would be assisted by the front staff making my future, ordered by him appointments. Thank you!

Dr. Shah is an excellent doctor with good bedside manner. He suggested a new test, which I hadn't heard of and I will get it. He was very trustworthy and positive, which is hard to find these days.

I'm very impressed with Dr. Shah. He takes his time with the patient. He listens. He gets you involved in it. He's very knowledgeable. I'm very, very happy to have him for my heart doctor.

Dr. Shah provided not just answers to my current question but explained his forward thinking for future clarification for a person who might interpret something on an echocardiogram that might be misconstrued as an issue when in fact it is present and is not an issue.

One of the few doctors I've seen who did not rush through the appointment, but actually allowed enough time for me to get and understand the information I needed for my care.
