It's hard when you are elderly and have not much help. It's okay if you have supportive family or close friends. It's hard to be elderly and on your own.

Referral not sent. Prescription request not sent. I am not sure if the Dr. or the student was responsible, but post visit actions were not taken timely.

Most doctors nowadays are glued to their computer and type the whole time the patient speaks. Dr Powell sat beside me and we actually talked and he really listened to my concerns. He talked with me not at me. That kind of treatment makes me more apt to share personal problems and trust him.

Dr. Powell is an excellent physician. He is very thorough and was able to identify everything that was wrong and give suggestions to correct. I was very impressed with him and also the resident, I suppose, who was training with him. She was just excellent. But Dr. Powell is just the best and I can't say enough about him.

Dr Powell and his staff were very nice. The office was clean and cheerful. All of our questions were addressed. My only hesitation is that Dr Powell, though cheerful and caring, is quite loud and talks very fast. The visit was good but there were moments that were overwhelming because of that.

As far as my recommendation for the doctor, it was my first visit to the doctor. And therefore, I would have to say I was very much pleased, pretty well pleased, whatever, I had nothing to complain about. But as far as me giving a recommendation for my friends or family to see this doctor, it's not something that I would do. If they asked me, how was the new doctor? How was your visit? Was he friendly? I'll certainly answer them honestly. but I don't just really nearly say, hey, I'm seeing a new doctor and I think you want to see him too. I would never recommend a doctor for somebody. That's a very personal choice for individuals. They may ask me for a recommendation, they will get it. They don't ask me, they won't get it. So I wanted to make it clear when you said, how would I recommend them? I pretty much don't like recommending doctors or lawyers for that matter.
