An alumna of Drexel University's prestigious ELAM executive leadership program, Dr. Channell has held premier national leadership roles, including serving as president of the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) and as a member of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) board of directors. Her expertise in accreditation includes service on the ACGME Osteopathic Recognition Committee and an appointment to the U.S. Department of Education’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA). A champion for health care workforce development, she has successfully secured and led a $4.5 million federal HRSA grant dedicated to expanding primary care training pathways and addressing physician shortages. She is also the co-author of The 5-Minute Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Consult (Wolters Kluwer, 3rd edition), a widely used clinical reference translated into French, Chinese, and Japanese.

Dr. Channell has been a Godsend for me. I have a lot going on and she always helps me with whatever is on the top of the ugly pain list. She finds issues in my back with her fingers and takes care of it. She talks with me first, gets an understanding of what I'm dealing with and then she goes to work to fix it.

Dr. Channell and her staff at the Stratford office are always on point. They treat me with respect and they answer any questions I have, and I always have questions. I enjoy helping the students learn and I lend myself to them knowing that I may be able to make a difference. Then Dr. Channell comes in to give context and to complete my treatment. I make sure that I get my next appointment scheduled. As a person with chronic pain, I look forward to my next appointment.
