Dr. McCormick is amazing. He not only reviewed my chart prior to walking into the room, but then sat with me and truly listened to every aspect of my care, reviewing my medication's, lab work, and concerns. All of the staff was welcoming and friendly, and I felt in no way rushed during my visit.

the staff requested i make this appointment because of a mychart message. when contacting me, the person tried to get me to see a different physician than my primary physician. sometimes i think the staff make decisions they shouldn't be making and the physician should be making the decision. they act like gate keepers and it seems like they have power and control.

Dr. McCormick was awesome. It shouldn't be so hard to get an appointment with your PCP. I was recently released from the trauma center and advised to follow up with my PCP. When I called, the earliest availability was December. Fortunately, I had an appointment scheduled that I scheduled a year ago and used that as my follow up. Had I not had a previously scheduled appointment I would have had to wait until December to see the doctor. Kind of crazy and irresponsible at the same time. The doctors are always great. Because they are so good it is difficult to get a timely appointment.

I really appreciate the doctor and nurse I saw, however the front desk staff was not very personable or welcoming. There was confusion with my insurance and very little communication. This has been my experience multiple times and I consider switching providers, then am reminded when I see the doctor of why I do not.

He really listens to what I have to say, involves me in my care, and is just generally a caring physician. The medical assistants and the checkout gentlemen were also super helpful and very nice. The only negative I guess I would say is I didn't really feel like the girl who checked me in was particularly kind, but other than that, I thought the wait time was very reasonable and I give everything a 10 out of 10. The nurse or PA was very helpful getting a urine sample tested right at the office and also sent it out to a lab for confirmation due to an ongoing problem that was quickly resolved- I was very impressed at how efficiently it was done by the staff at Virtua.
