The communication experience is terrible. Love the Doctor but getting to him is infuriating. Your phone system is horrible. I have been on hold more than once and been the 55th caller. Then only to get someone who doesn't schedule appointments for the hand doctor. I need surgery but couldn't schedule it at my office visit. It should be able to be done while you are with your provider at the office. Instead I had to wait for a scheduler to call me days later and when she did I was in class with students and couldn't get the call. When I tried calling back I only got a voicemail. She eventually called back but by then other appointments had filled up and I have to wait longer. Your system of making appointments of ANY kind doesn't work for the patient. No one seems to care either. The response is yes, this is how Virtua is. You've hired 3rd party "everything" and have more employees the patient has to weed through to get to the doctor and this has made for a horrible patient experience. Plus your AI answering system is terrible too.

Dr. Smith and his staff are very knowledgeable and it is obvious that they care for each of their patients as they would family. I can unconditionally recommend this practice to everyone.

This is my 4th visit to Reconstructive Ortho and the 4th time I requested my internist be added to my chart so he can receive updates. So, far it has not happened, and I'm considering going elsewhere.

The physical therapist working for Dr Smith should not be looking in people files, making diagnosis, prepping medication, or overall doing anything medically that she isn't cleared for. She actually told me that a medication that I am allergic to, she placed in the shot. Upon looking at my chart and realizing she didnt infact add it made it a joke, like hahaha I could have just killed you and now im lmao. A check to see if she has credentials to do any type of medical care should be taken.

Everyone from the callback to schedule an appointment, to check in, the interview nurse and the doctor were extraordinary. In an era when I normally wait on the phone for at least an hour to make contact and a doctor who can hardly spend five minutes with me. It was so refreshing to have everyone so pleasant, helpful and interested with my health issue. I believe that I must attribute to a mindset of service from Virtua. The facility was clean and modern. Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. Dr Smith and his assistant were incredible. They were both very caring and took the time to listen and explain what they thought was going on and the recommended next steps. Glad you no longer route all the calls through the Virtua phone operators. Letting the calls go through to the office again is much better. The phone was answered immediately instead of being on hold for an hour or being the 50th person in the queue.

I find Recon- Ortho to be a very preceptive and caring organization, having met with knee, low back, shoulder and hand doctors. I find them both proactive and prepared to say let's try this, before we decide to involve more extensive treatments. PT has been recommended and proved extremely helpful.

I am a workmens comp case so the ins adjuster made the appt. I first heard of the appt by text to confirm the appt. I never received a call or spoke with any one from the office until I was at my appt. I had to call the ins co to see who I was seeing and where. There seemed to be a mix up with getting the reports to the dr but everything seemed to work out. I have this injury since January and asked for another Dr. I now have Dr Smith who explained everything which I am glad he did. I also recommended him to my family telling them that if anyone ever needs a hand surgeon we have one, and especially one that listens and explains everything.

The only issue I have with the place is that I had and 11:40 AM appointment and wound up leaving at 1 PM. The wait time was much too long. Once they put me in a room I waited for a half an hour . The doctor and staff are great. Especially the Receptionists

Dr. Smith is really great. I had him for the second time this last time, which is why I came back. But the two-hour wait time to make the appointment is ridiculous. And I almost hung up except for I really wanted to see him. So that's how good he is. But your phone system sucks. You need to take care of fixing that because I should only be waiting less than a minute, not two hours.

Wil Smith is an excellent physician and is trustworthy. Difficult phone system for making appointments- needs to be fixed it stinks. Office being moved from Pitman to Sewell makes things inconvenient which shows that virtua is only interested in $'s. Receptionists and techs need training as while waiting a tech went at a receptionist for sending patients to the wrong door- outrageous to do this in a public environment. Dr Smith and [Redacted]are the only ones to make this a worthwhile experience.
