Wunhuey Cheng, DO

Wunhuey Cheng, DO, is an assistant professor in the Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology at the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and a clinical instructor for third-year medical students during their geriatrics clerkship at the Rowan-Virtua New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging. She is board-certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in geriatric medicine. Dr. Cheng earned her medical degree and completed her fellowship in geriatric medicine at the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. She serves as a team physician for Lighthouse Hospice and is an attending physician at several skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Her expertise includes cognitive impairment, dementia, delirium, deprescribing, chronic disease management, goals of care, palliative care, and end-of-life planning. She is a certified rater of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and is fluent in both Chinese and Mandarin.
